Honda Repair: after market product side affects, warrenty, air intake

Question
Based on your experience, I was wondering if any after-market products
have done any harm to a vehicle.  My situation is that I don't want to
void the warrenty, but my dealer said that any after-market product
that causes a malfuntion would not be covered.  FYI I have a 2004 Accord
and I was interested in putting on different things like an air intake,
chip, and a new exhaust. I appriciate your response.  Thanks, Matt

I have never heard of a malfunction from any of those but when you put the chip in it will void the warranty on the computer because it is writing to the computer the intake I'm not sure if you will have to have it programmed into the computer to adjust the fuel and air ratio but that should be under warranty for the dealer to do it you might want to check to see if it will throw off the air fule ratio if it is not programmed,cause I'm not really sure if you have to or not
