Honda Repair: 1989 Honda Accord Transmission, signal relay, transmission pan

My car shifts a little hard at times, then it wants to stay in low at times but, then it goes back to doing fine. Also does this model have a transmission pan and filter that can be changed. Someone told me it doesn't. And where is the relay.

Thanks for your question.
I am not too sure what relay you are talking about. There must be 15 relays on that car. From the main relay to the turn signal relay. Let me know which one you need.
This car does not have a trans pan and filter. I would have the fluid flushed out of the trans and go from there. Thats about all you can do. Once these cars start shifting bad, there is not much you can do.
BEWARE: Sometimes when a trans is not shifting correctly, and you change the fluid, it gets worse! The dirt in the trans gets disrupted and gets lodged somewhere else. Possibly in a worse spot that it is now.
