HI, i was just wondering if you knew how to locate the jumper connector on a 5th gen prelude, so as to check my codes.  I've herd it is a black connector back and to the right of the ash tray, but i cannot find any that resemble it.  Any help, thanks.
Answer -
Matt,
You need to tell me the year of the car. I am not exactly sure what year you mean by 5th generation. I do not want to tell you the wrong information.
Write me back and I will help you.
Thanks for the question.
The year is a 98, 5th gen is from 97-01.

Answer
Matt,
The OBD2 connector for your car is located on the right side of the front of the center console. Here is how to find it. Sit in the Pass. front seat. To your left, towards the front of the car about radio level, you will find a black plastic cover. It is covered with a carpet type material. You need to remove this cover by pulling on it. As soon as you remove it, Bingo, you will see the connectgor. *note* You need a scan tool to check for codes, or you can jump the #4 and #12 pins and watch your MIL blink the number for the code.
Good luck and thanks for the question.
