Hyundai Repair: Computer code po734, speed sensors, hyundai accent

Hello I appreciate you answering my question. My question is in regard to the computer code po734 in my 2004 Hyundai Accent. The tranny has been replaced twice and the second one has been working fine until recently. I have been having difficulty on and off with the car on the highway while in fourth gear and I know that the code is for gear 4 incorrect ratio. I was wondering if you could tell me what is causing this issue and how I can fix it.

Hi, Juan.  Basically, this diagnostic trouble code indicates exactly what you say-- that the signal from the input and output speed sensors are not in the proper ratio.  If the fluid is at the proper level and the speed sensors are functioning properly, you should expect that the problem will be internal and the most cost effective way to repair reliably will be to replace the transmission again.  You should compare prices for this work.  Many dealer replacements will be about the same price as or a lower price than competitors.
