Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Entourage 2007, hyundai entourage, fuse box

Question
My hyundai entourage just totally died. There is no power whatsoever. I replace 2 power outlet fuses(1&2) 15 amps each that I found were no good. I took the battery out thinking that was no good and it was tested and found to be ok. The mileage is 20,000 and the van is going on 6 yrs old this December 2010. All fuses both under dash and even in the engine compartment were checked and all ok. Have no idea why no power and the van will not crank over at all. Also, cannot put van into neutral to get out of driveway for towing to nearest mechanic. Will call mechanic this morning to ask for help, but would love to know your opinion anyway on what might have happen. Thanks so much for your time.  Walt McNeil

Answer
Hi, Walt.  If nothing works electrically at all, and you've already eliminated the battery as a possibility, then there are few other potential issues.  Either there's a problem with one of the battery cables/terminals, or the main wire from the battery to the fuse box isn't connected well.

As this is a 2007 model year vehicle, it's now only as much as four years old.  With 20,000 miles, just about everything except the battery is still within the new vehicle warranty period.  I'd advise calling Hyundai roadside assistance and having it towed to the nearest dealer.  The tow truck doesn't necessarily need the van to be shifted into neutral.  It can be dragged onto a flatbed tow truck with the truck's winch.
