Hyundai Repair: sunroof, proper position, mechanical work

Question
I have 2005 XG350L v6 motor. My sunroof has a gap of about 2 inches in the rear when closed. Is it off track or is there another problem? It also tilts as well as opens. Could it be something to do with the tilitng mechanisms? Is it something I can fix or does it have to go to the dealer? Please help weather is starting to get bad!!

Answer
Hi, Sherry.  If the sunroof operates normally except that it's not in the proper position when it should be closed, your sunroof motor may not be timed properly.  To time it properly, it'll be necessary to get the sunroof in the closed position and then operate the motor so that it to is in the proper position for the sunroof to be closed.

If you're not fairly handy with repairing things on your own, this is likely to be a difficult task for you.  In that case, I'd recommend taking the car to a shop that's qualified to do electrical and mechanical work.
