my 2003 hyundai accent while driving started to decreased idle till it shut off. tried starting but only cranks but wont start. also check engine light comes on ,did a computer. check but no code pups. once dealer replace crank position sensor about a year ago for similar symptoms what else could it be or may check for. thanks

Answer
The crank sensor is one possibility.  I've seen cases where the wiring was misrouted and cut on the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Other possibilities are a faulty fuel pump or clogged catalytic converter.

Start with checking some basics.  When you crank the engine do you have spark at the plugs?  You can test this by taking an old plug, placing in the plug end of the #1 wire, laying the plug on the intake plenum, and checking for spark while cranking.

Do you have fuel pressure?  To check this properly, you'll need to have a fuel pressure gauge and adapter.  Even so, if you pull the fuel line loose from the fuel rail and turn the key to the "start" position momentarily, fuel should come out.  If it doesn't you know the problem is that the fuel pump is defective or is not running for some other reason.  *Make sure the ignition cables are all back in place prior to doing this.  Spark + fuel = fire.*
