Hyundai Repair: con rod bolts, hyundai santa fe, rod bolts

2003 Hyundai Santa-Fe 2.7 V6. Con rod bolts seem to be serrated headed, is there a special tool required to undo these? The workshop manual does not indicate that there is but my sockets do not seem to fit.

I haven't had occasion to remove a connecting rod bolt on a 2.7L engine, but to the best of my knowledge, they're 12-point metric bolts, probably about 12mm or so.  If you have a set of metric 12-point sockets, one will probably fit the bolt perfectly.
