Hyundai Repair: A/C, hyundai accent, radiator fans

Question
I have a 2006 Hyundai Accent the a/c stopped blowing cold air yesterday. I tried adding the refrigerant but it wont accept it. how do i get my ac to work again?

Answer
There could be any number of issues causing your air conditioning to not work.  If you already know it won't accept refrigerant, you'll need to take it to a qualified shop to have it checked.  Any of the following could be cause for your a/c to not blow cold air:

1.  Broken heater control temperature knob
2.  Damaged, misadjusted, or disconnected temperature control cable
3.  Malfunctioning blend door in heater box
4.  Too much refrigerant in system
5.  Open circuit in evaporator temperature sensor
6.  Defective or disconnected pressure switch
7.  Defective compressor, compressor clutch, or clutch coil
8.  Defective expansion valve
9.  Any condition causing the engine to overheat
10.  Broken or shorted wire anywhere in the system
11.  Defective a/c switch
12.  Defective fan switch.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the exact cause without some diagnostics being performed.  I'll need to know the high and low side pressures in the A/C system when off as well as when on.  I'll need to know whether the compressor is turning and whether the radiator fans run when the a/c is turned on.

At this point, I'm presuming you do not have the equipment to tell me most of these things, and that is why I've recommended taking your car to a shop.
