Hyundai Repair: 2001 hyundai accent gl, hyundai accent, accurate diagnosis

my 2001 hyundai accent gl staled when i was driving home from work yesterday. i thought it was the fuel pump but when i tested it, it works. i pulled the fuel line to the injectors and cranked the engine to see if fuel come out and its dry any suggestions?

Hi, Nick.  You may be well on your way to making a quick and accurate diagnosis on this problem.  Since you say you tested the fuel pump and it's good, yet you have no fuel when you crank the engine, the critical piece of information here is how you tested the fuel pump and what results you got.  If the fuel pump is indeed working properly, this will be critical information which will could let me know a fair amount regarding what *is* working.  My inclination is that there's an issue preventing the fuel pump from receiving power or ground.

Please provide the following information so I can guide you further:
1.  How did you test the fuel pump?
2.  What specifically happened during this test?
3.  When you turn the ignition to the "on" position, does the check engine lamp illuminate?
