Hyundai Repair: rear hatchligh on all time, hatch latch, open hatch

2003 accent the indicator light in the dash for open hatch is always on, wen brake pedal is depress the light goes of , but the luggage light in the hatch is always on,after time battery goeas dead

Start by checking all your fuses.  I've seen cases where a blown fuse will cause a door ajar or trunk lamp to stay illuminated.  If none are blown, check the switch at the hatch.  This will require removing the plastic trim cover from the inside of the hatch.  If the lamp goes out when the latch is unplugged, then the problem is in the latch switch, and the hatch latch will need to be replaced.
