Hyundai Repair: 2003 Sonata Odometer, tire size, odometer

Question
My 2003 Sonata (2.4 liter 4 cyl automatic) Odometer will rack up 103 miles for every 100 miles driven.  I'm not the first owner and wonder if someone put larger tires on at one time and may have reflashed the computer for the larger diameter tires.

I have no evidence that this was done and wonder how to fix this problem.  Other cars and trucks I've owned and driven have either been spot on for mileage or an extra mile for every thousand.  Three for every hundred is not acceptable in my book.

Answer
There's no way I know of for someone to reflash the computer for a different tire size.  Other manufacturers offer the option to change tire size in the computer, but Hyundai does not.

To check whether you have the proper tire size, simply compare the tire size to the one on the sticker on the driver's door opening.
