My car shows codes p1624 and p0713. What are they, how do I fix tnem and what parts are needed?

P0713 indicates an open circuit in the transmission fluid temperature circuit.  The method of repair and necessary parts will depend on the specific problem causing the open circuit.

P1624 indicates that the transmission control module has requested the check engine lamp be turned on.  This is a direct result of the P0713 code.

The most common problem causing a P0713 code on Tiburons 2001 or older is a broken wire at the connector for the temperature sensor, so check this first.  If this is the problem, you'll need to install a new terminal (with pigtail wire) into the connector and splice into the harness, or simply replace the entire connector (with pigtail) and splice into the harness.
