Hyundai Repair: po734/p01624, hyundia elantra, request signal

Hi, I have a 2000 hyundia elantra w/ a/t transsmission. I noticed that if u don't come to a complete stop and then accelerate again car chirps in 2nd gear. I recently was low on trans fluid engine light came on, after adding fluid and driving local light went back out. Drove around again same symptoms... and now noticed car was winding out from 3 to 4 gears and rpms where higher than they should be.Engine light came on with codes po734 ( 4th gear ratio incorrect# and p01624# mil request signal to ECM # Decided to get tranny flushed and filter changed light went off for a day but now back on :# If you could shed some light on this because we are at wits end... I am hoping a don't need a new tranny

Recheck your transmission fluid to be sure it's full.  If it is, expect to need to replace the transmission.  I'd recommend taking the car to a reputable diagnostic shop if that's what you think you're facing.  Replacing the transmission is far too great an expense to not have someone qualified look at it to make sure there isn't a simpler problem that can be corrected for a reasonable amount of money.
