Hyundai Repair: Engine issues, throttle position sensor, warranty service

Question
2008 Santa Fe limited....running rough when cold - for a couple weeks.  Started the car today and the car wouldn't accelerate.  the car will move - from being in high idle, but again, no acceleration

Answer
Anytime there's an issue significant enough to potentially affect the electronic throttle's ability to function correctly, the engine control module (ECM) will either restrict throttle opening or fuel delivery as a safety measure to prevent unintended acceleration.  In this situation, the check engine lamp should come on as well.

If this is indeed what is occurring, I'll need to know the stored diagnostic trouble codes to be able to ascertain the nature of the problem.  The most frequent issues are with the throttle position sensor and the accelerator position sensor.  Considering that this vehicle is likely still within the warranty period, it's probably not worth your additional time and effort to gather the trouble codes, report back to me, and wait for my answer.  A trip to the dealer for warranty service is likely to have the vehicle repaired within a couple days at the worst (under most circumstances) or even that same day if all goes well.
