Hyundai Repair: Filter replacements, cabin air filters, entrouge

Question
I have a 2009 Hyundai Entrouge Van.  I was told I need to replace the Cabin air filters and the the "IFR" or "EFR" filter for gas tank emissions. Could you please tell me where these are located and how to replace them

Answer
The cabin air filter is located in the air intake box behind the glove box.  To access, you'll need to open the glove box and remove the rod and two bumpers that restrict its opening, and then open the access door behind the glove box.  The filter should then slide out of the opening.  This filter usually accumulates a large amount of debris over a year or two.

The canister air filter, which is the filter to which I believe you're referring, is located on the fuel filler neck.  To replace this, you'll need to remove the left rear wheel and fender liner.  Depending on how it's situated on the filler neck, you may also need to (at least partially) remove the filler neck itself to access the bolts/nuts holding the filter in place.  These filters rarely clog unless you're driving in particularly dusty or dirty areas, and the worst thing that happens is that the check engine lamp comes on and you may have difficulty fueling your vehicle.  Most vehicles will not need this filter replaced in the lifetime of the vehicle (for symptomatic reasons), but it is common enough that I do need to replace one now and then.
