Hyundai Repair: 1999 hyundai sonata, flasher relay, sonata 6

Question
i have a 1999 sonata 6 cylinder, my turning signals no longer work. i have replaced the fuses and the bulbs, and still no luck. someone said that it could be the flasher, so i purchased one. i have no idea where it is, could you please help?

Answer
The flasher relay is located behind the left side of the dash, above the fuse box.

You may have significant difficulty finding the relay.  For this reason, I recommend registering for a free account at www.hmaservice.com.  Once registered and logged into the site, go to the ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) portion of the service information section.  Select Sonata EF (your model) and then choose the schematic for your year and engine.  Choose "component location index" and click on "flasher unit."  You should now see a picture with the flasher unit labeled.
