Hyundai Repair: No fuel pressure, fuel pump relay, hyundai accent

Question
I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent 1.6 DOHC with 100,000 miles and am not getting any fuel pressure. I have checked the original fuel pump and is good not to mention I have even replaced it with a brand new OEM one and still no fuel pressure. Just about a week prior to it losing fuel pressure I lost all power to the ignition switch and had to replace a wire that runs from the main fuse box under the hood to the ignition. I do not know if this info is any help so that is why I included it. Thank you soo much in advance.

Answer
The problem with the wire can indeed be related to the fuel pressure issue.  The fuel pump power is controlled by the engine control module (ECM) and the fuel pump relay, but if the ECM never receives power from the ignition switch, it will never turn on the fuel pump.  It's possible there's a blown fuse preventing the ECM or the fuel pump from operating.

The answers to the following may help me assist you:
1.  When you turn the ignition key to the on position, does the check engine lamp illuminate?
2.  What were the symptoms prior to the replacement of the wire?
3.  What were the locations (as specific as possible) and wire colors where the wire was spliced in place?
4.  Was the old wire cut out of the circuit at the locations of the splices?
5.  Did you find the specific problem with the wire that required its replacement?
