Hyundai Repair: PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT ON 2002 HYUNDAI SONATA, 2002 hyundai sonata, hyundai sonata

Question
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO ADJUST THE PARKING BRAKES ON A 2002 HYUNDAI SONATA. I CAN'T GET THE REAR ROTORS OFF. I'VE TAKEN THE SCREWS OUT AND TAPPED IT WITH A MALLET... NO LUCK... I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO LOOSEN THE PARKING BRAKE ,SO I CAN GET THE ROTOR OFF. I ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE ADJUSTER IS LOCATED... THANKS, JEFF

Answer
The adjuster for the parking brake is under the center console.  After removing the console, simply loosen the adjusting nut (12mm, I believe) to release tension on the cable.  If you're still unable to remove the rotors after doing this, you may be able to access and loosen the star wheel on the shoe adjuster by removing the rubber plug in the rotor and turning it until you can access the wheel.
