Hyundai Repair: Elantra Power Windows, slow blow fuse, fuse block

Question
Hello,
My power windows on my 2001 Elantra quit the other day. I've checked all fuses but none are blown. I would like to check the relays but can not figure out how to access them. Is it possible to remove the fuse box to access the relays on the back?

Thanks,
Jeff

Answer
While I realize you say you've checked all the fuses, bear with me for a moment.  The main power window fuse is larger than the rest and is what's called a slow blow fuse.  It's a 30A fuse with a clear plastic cover below the rest of the fuses.  Make sure this fuse is not blown.  If this fuse is okay and your headlamps and brake lamps function normally, you've just verified all necessary fuses are operating normally.

While you can remove the fuse block to check the relays-- this will require removing the left lower portion of the dash, I'd recommend first removing the main switch from the driver's door.  This can be pried up from the rear of the switch and has much easier access than the fuse/relay block.  If your testing shows the fuse is good and you're not getting power to the switch, then work back toward the fuse block.
