radio won,t work because we dont have a code number to punch in.

Answer
You'll need to get the radio antitheft code.  The original owner would have received a card (about the size of a credit card) with this code number on it.  If you provide your vehicle identification number and proof of ownership to your local dealer, they should be able to provide you with the code for the radio originally installed in the vehicle.
