Chrysler Repair: Miss fire, chrysler lebaron, pep boys

Hello Pete,

I have an 89 Chrysler Lebaron. Lately the engine has been jumpy. When I start it up the engine shakes. When I put it into reverse or drive it shakes a little more. Does the same when giving it gas. I took it to PEP BOYS and they said it was something miss firing. They didn't have a proper name for it. Some kind of valve around the back side of the engine. They tried to get a price quote, but the dealer dind't have it. Now I am trying to figure out what it is exactly so I can get it from somewhere. Any ideas of what it may be called or maybe what else the problem could be if they are just trying to scam me? Thank you! -Karlton

My self i do not like pep boys i have heard some bad stories from them .

is it a egr valve they are talking about or a fuel pressier valve i need to know what they are talking about i would check theimeing belt first to make sure it did not jump time . they are known for this bring it to another shop and get a free esm. and write me back pete
