Hi, Anneli.  I hope this answer will help you, but am afraid the lamps my be different between US and UK models.  

On the '06 hatchback in the U.S., the high mounted stop lamp is located in the spoiler above the rear glass, and does not have bulbs but rather a large number of LEDs which are not serviceable.  To service this lamp, you'd need to remove the spoiler and then remove the lamp assembly from the spoiler for replacement of the entire lamp.

If you do have a lamp like the one on the cars here, I'd recommend a thorough testing prior to replacing the lamp assembly.  While I've seen a couple LED lamps go bad, it's very rare.  Your problem could be as simple as a broken wire in the rubber boot housing the wiring between the hatchback door and the body of the car.
