Hyundai Repair: windshield wipers, Hyundai, Windshield

Question
my driver side wiper has stopped working, but passenger side still works. how do i resolve this?

Answer
It is most likely the motor that operates the driver side wiper. Since there is two motors, one that powers each window, it will either be the motor, the resistor to the windshield wiper, or a short in the wire that links from the fuse to the driver side wiper. Both wipers are linked to the same fuse, so it is not a fuse. Just take a power tester and see if the wires to the windshield wiper motor are receiving power, and if they are then the motor probably needs to be replaced. I am not going to say that it will be easy either, considering your wiper motors will most likely be located at the very back side of your dashboard.

I hope you figure out which one of those is causing your problem, and to be honest, replacing the motor will be cheaper and more time efficient than rerunning an entire power line for it, unless you rig it up, which I don't recommend. Good luck to you and if you need anything else, just let me know.
