Hyundai Repair: Cruise Control, paint expert, local community college

Hi Joe
I hope you can help me:
I have an 2001 tiburon -70k miles
My cruise control stop working, and now I am experiencing hard shifting while in motion{no other problems}. Midas said I need to change all my fluids & filters in the car.I have no idea what the problem is, all the websites I went on were utterly little to no help!

i signed up on this website as paint expert..., sorry, i am not a mechanic, however, changing fluids is something every mechanic i ever met since i was a kid has always recommended be done if you want your vehicle to last any length of time. Perhaps local community college has mechanic classes where your car can be your project for your class grade.  Do not let someone who is not familiar with hyundai work on your car.  Seems all hyndai's are similar mechanically so he dosn't have to be a tiburon expert.  Sometimes the guys at the hyundai parts department do extra work on the side if you be discreet and don't get them fired.
