Can you please tell me if the cooling fan is a single speed motor or two speed, this will help me in my endeavor to solve an overheating problem.

I cant tell you for sure because some are and some aren't, depending on several options.
I can tell you that the fan should come on at about 109*C(229*F) and the temperature should not keep climbing after the fan turns on. It should also turn on any time that the AC is on.
The easy way to tell if it is a 2 speed fan is to check the relays. If it is a 2 speed, it will have more than one fan relay.
