What is a "Input/Turbine Speed Sensor" on the Hyundai Sante Fe?  And should I drive it with this problem?

First of all, if you have a malfunctioning speed sensor, do not drive it like that. Get it replaced as soon as possible. It is a good idea to replace the output speed sensor too. Input speed sensor is a generator that counts the speed of the engine speed which is the input speed to tranny.It sends that info to tranny control module . It is located on the top of the transmission.
