Hyundai Repair: Sonata 02 Power Problems/Transmisson Problems, magnet sensor, fog light

Question
Around 5 months ago while driving down the freeway car had a thump and was stuck in 3rd gear(limp mode). Check engine light came on and the code  read. "turbine speed senor" needs replaced. So changed both sensors turbine and magnet sensor in/out. And continue to get the problem.

Around the same time i noticed that the driver side fog light was out. Then a week later i saw it back on. The battery had some corrosion on the negative i cleaned off and fog light works . Now its off again and there is no corrosion and the radio turns off and on like there is some power problem.

Also I;m not sure but where u shift the car into P R D or + - that console right there does not light up. I can;t remember if it does. I know its on the dash. But if its suppose to light up then i got some power problems and perhaps my transmission is ok .

My guess is that the wire harness is no good. Or where the battery grounds out can be corroded but i can seem to find where it connects to the chassis. Or i need a new battery.

Answer
Hello James,
I think it is time to have battery/charging system check performed on your vehicle. Before  starting  to search for a poor ground or open/short circuit , you need to make sure your battery is strong enough and your alternator is charging the battery.
