Hyundai Repair: sudden gas smell in car, sudden smell, smell of gas

today when I was on my way home from work. I was stopped at a light. when I went through the light there was a sudden smell of gas in the car. I just assumed that it was the exhaust from the car in front of me. I opened the windows and turned on the air conditioning for a few minutes and it dissapated. However when I got home and got out I could still smell the gas. I have checked under the car and there is no gas leaking out. I am wondering if maybe it has something to do with my fuel filter or hoses? also is it safe to drive to work tomorrow? I drive 70 miles per day. thanks
