Hyundai Repair: 2000 Hyundai Elantra P0441, hyundai elantra, 2000 hyundai elantra

Question
My check engine light is on so I took it to Auto Zone for a diagnostic check.  It showed P0441. They said I needed a new gas cap. I bought one and it didn't help. The car runs fine except for when I try to start it after I fill up with gas. It acts like it's flooded. What is wrong with it? Everything that I have read says Purge Control Valve.  Is that the same as a PCV valve?  If not, what is the part number for the part that is needed?  Thanks for your help!!  Glenn

Answer
Hello Glenn,
Your problem is purge control valve. It is stuck partially open. It is also causing hard to start after filling up. I can not remember the part number, but the name of the part is "Evap Purge Control Valve". It is located under the throttle body. Black plastic part with 2 hose and a connector attached.Replacing that part will not turn the check engine light off. Code needs to be erased with a scanner.
