Hyundai Repair: 99 elantra release lever, type clutch, clutch system

Question
I just finished replacing my clutch with a brand new clutch kit, master cylinder and release cylinder and I'm currently trying to bleed the system.  I'm having a problem getting the release lever to push back against the release cylinder which is causing the piston to stay completely extended and pressure to be built up the next time the pedal is pushed in.  It seems like, with the pull type clutch, the lever natuarally wants to be pushed away from the release cylinder.  Is there supposed to be a spring or something that pushes it back toward the cylinder?  Any input would help.
Thanks,
Dan

Answer
Hello Dan,
On pull type clutch system, release bearing is attached to the clutch cover. Clutch cover itself should force the relase lever toward the cylinder. Are you sure that the release bearing is completely snapped in to it's seat on the clutch cover? Remove the pin that attaches lever to cylinder and check the lever by hand. You should not be able to move it away from the cylinder.
