Hyundai Repair: rear breaks, rear drum brakes, phillips screw

Question
I will change the rear breaks from my sonata 2.0 gls at 1999. Must i the hand-break used on or off and which screw must I take off. Maybe a image Very must thanks

Answer
Presuming you have rear drum brakes, you'll need to have the hand brake off.  Remove the wheel, the Phillips screw(s) attaching the drum to the hub, and remove the drum.  Then, swap the new shoes for the old.  I'm suspicious, based on your question, that you've not changed brakes prior.  If this is the case, I strongly recommend having someone present who has experience with this work.  It shouldn't be necessary for this person to do any work, but drum brakes have many components, and a person present for guidance will be invaluable.

You can find service information (including diagrams) at www.hmaservice.com.  You'll need to register for a free account, and the site requires Internet Explorer.  Once you've logged in, enter the year and model of your car and go to the Brakes section of the shop manual.
