Hyundai Repair: Hyundai accent gs antena, antenna mast, hyundai accent

I have a problem with the antenna of my hyundai accent gs 1997,when I switch off the radio the antenna starts to come down,but the last part of the antenna remains stuck thus the antenna does not completly come down.I tried spraying and cleaning but no chance for the antenna to come completly down.can you please help.While thanking you in advance, I await a reply.thanks

Usually, this is a greasing issue, but if part of the antenna is bent and kinked, you'll need to replace the antenna mast.

To grease the antenna mast, first wipe it clean with a rag.  Then, apply a silicon-based grease to the mast and wipe it around well.  Last, turn the radio off and on several times to spread the grease around.  If this doesn't solve the issue, you'll probably need to go back to replacing the antenna mast.
