Could you please tell me where the flasher unit is located in the 2003 Hyundai Elantra.  If  under the dash, how do I remove the trim piece to get to the flasher ?  Thanks.

The flasher unit is behind the left side of the dash.  You may be able to access it from underneath without removing the left lower dash panel.  

If you find that you do need to remove the dash panel, you'll likely need to remove it as well as the metal brace behind it.  Here are the steps:
1.  Pry off the cover on the left end of the dash.
2.  Remove the four #2 Phillps scres holding the left lower dash panel in place.
3.  Pull the panel off, snapping loose at the top.
4.  Remove the four 10mm bolts and nuts holding the brace in place and remove the brace.
