Hyundai Repair: Right signal light will not go off., body control module bcm, body control module

Question
I drive an 03 Tiburon. My right signal light will not go off even when the car is off. It kills my battery. I was told there is a short somewhere and the wiring needs to be redone by Hyundai at $920.  Then I was told it's a short somewhere and it can be fixed a lot cheaper just by resodering. I've also noticed my seat belt "beeping" is acting weird, so I guess this is part of the short.  Do you know what is wrong and how to fix it? I've had to take the fuse out and now I drive with no signals.

Answer
I don't think I have very good news, Craig.  If operating the other lamps doesn't affect what the turn signal lamp does, the problem is in the body control module (BCM) and the BCM will need to be replaced.  Unless power is backfeeding through a bulb (this would cause the symptom to change as that bulb were turned on and off), the BCM is the only way for the turn signal to be powered.
