Hyundai Repair: 2002 Santa Fe Fog Light Bulbs replacement, fog light bulbs, lamp bulbs

How can I change out the bulbs in my 2002 Santa Fe GLS? I removed the main headlight assembly and opened the fog light environnmental twist cover, snapped over the bulb securing wire, but can not figure how to remove and replace. Also, the HID bulbs I bought have different seating assemblies and look nothing like what is original equipment. Vehicle made Oct. 17, 2001.

Once the retaining clip has been released, the bulb should pull straight out the back of the lamp.  The bulb has one spade terminal on the back and you should be able to just pull the wire off the bulb.  If you're still having difficulty, you may need to get a mirror so you can see inside the lamp assembly.  The bulb has one flat side on its base, so try to determine the orientation of the bulb prior to removing it.

If the bulbs you purchased do not fit or connect correctly, they're the incorrect bulbs for your vehicle.  Your fog lamp bulbs are fairly common as both head and fog lamp bulbs.
