Hyundai Repair: 99 Accent airbag light, lamp control, indicator lamp

Question
I had the instrument cluster removed to replace a bulb and now my airbag light is on all the time. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to try and clear it but its still there, I also checked the fuses which are fine. What should I check next?

Answer
If the ignition was on while the cluster was removed, the air bag computer will have noticed that there was an open circuit in the warning lamp control circuit and set a code for this problem.  Unfortunately, there's no way to clear the code and light without a scan tool (or a very, very long wait).  You'll probably need to take it to the dealer to have the lamp turned off.  Be sure to tell them the lamp came on after you reinstalled the cluster.  That way the technician will know that there's no actual problem if the code is indeed for the indicator lamp circuit.
