Hyundai Repair: broken cable for manual window, interior door panel, flat blade

Question
QUESTION:    How to replace a broken window cable Hyundai 2001 accent, for the driver side window I would appreciate any advice on how to replace it  .
ANSWER: If the cable came loose from the regulator or has broken, you'll need to replace the entire window regulator.

1.  Remove the interior door panel.
1a.  Rotate the window crank so that it points up.  Wedge a flat-blade screwdriver downward between the crank and the trim ring.  Pry back on the trim ring while turning the crank.  This should hold the ring and retaining clip still, causing the clip to be pushed off the crank.  Remove the crank.
1b.  Pry loose the triangular garnish by the mirror.
1c.  Remove the screw and door handle bezel.
1d.  Remove the screws holding the door panel in place.  I do not recall the location of all of them.  Check around the edge of the door panel and check behind any trim plugs in the pull handle/armrest.
1e.  Pull out on the bottom of the trim panel to unsnap it, lift off the door, and unplug any electrical connections.

2.  Unbolt the window from the regulator and remove the glass from the door or block or tape it up.

3.  Unbolt and remove the regulator.

4.  Installation is the reverse of removal.

QUESTION: thank you
I changed it and it works fine . I noticed at the dealer that the maintainence schedule requires a changing of the timing belt at 60000 miles I have 80000 on this car could you advice me on the procedure to do this job thanks

Answer
I'm first going to send you to Hyundai's service website, www.hmaservice.com.  You'll need to register for a free account, and the site requires Internet Explorer.  I'd like you to read the procedure there and then compare to my recommended procedure.  This will help you get a better idea of what you'll need to do.  Also, keep in mind that my procedure will be from memory, so you should always keep in mind that a small step may have been left out.

In addition, if you've never replaced a timing belt, I recommend having someone present who has.  While it's not necessary for this person to do the work, they'll be very helpful in guiding you along so that you make no mistakes.  If the timing belt is installed incorrectly, it could cause engine damage.

Last, I'll need to request that you tell me your engine size.  If you don't know your engine size, you can tell me whether the eighth digit of your vehicle identification number is a C or G.  Once I know your engine size, I can advise you on the timing belt procedure.
