Hyundai Repair: 2002 hyundai elantra instrument front panel/dash board removal, hyundai elantra, temperature gauge

how do i remove the instrument front panel/dash board on a 2002 Hyundai elantra? i need to replace the radio and the temperature gauge light bulb.

Answer
First remove the two screws in the dash facia behind the ashtray and the two at the top of the instrument cluster.  

Then pull the facia out, unplugging the electrical connectors to allow you to remove it.  

Next, remove the four screws holding the cluster in place, pull it out, and unplug it.  

You can access the bulbs in the instrument cluster at the back of the cluster.  The bulb in the radio is not serviceable unless you're able to perform microcircuitry soldering.
