Hyundai Repair: front brakes, caliper brackets, phillips screws

Question
how do you remove the front rotors on a 2000 hyundai tiburon

Answer
Remove the calipers and caliper brackets, and the two #3 Phillips screws on each rotor holding it to the hub.  The rotor should then come off the hub.  In many cases, the rotors will be rusted in place, and you may need a hammer to break them free.  If you plan on reinstalling the same rotors, use a heavy (2.5 to 4 lbs) plastic or metal hammer to remove the rotor from the hub.  If you're not going to reuse, it's okay (and probably more effective) to use a heavy regular hammer.

Installing 8mmx1.25 bolts in the holes in the rotors to try to push the rotors off usually results in little more than cracking or breaking the area of the rotor around the holes, so definitely don't try this method if you're planning on reusing the rotors.
