Hyundai Repair: car stall, throttle position sensor, air flow sensor
Questionmy car stalled the other day without warning while i applied brakes to come to a stop I have a 97 hyndai elantra california model. i just replaced both 02 sensors, maybe something is wrong with them?
AnswerIt's doubtful (but possible) this has anything to do with your oxygen sensors. A faulty oxygen sensor will typically cause high emissions and a check engine lamp, and will sometimes cause the car to run poorly, but almost never causes the vehicle to stall.
It's more likely that you have a problem with your idle actuator or accelerator switch, or with the air flow sensor or throttle position sensor, the main inputs to the fuel injection system.
