Hyundai Repair: Car missing on start up, hyundai elantra, compression test

Question
I have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4 Door Sedan.
The problem I am having is my car misses on start-up in the morning, it doesn't do it any other time.
I have changed the plug wires, the coils, and plugs. Do you think it could be the injectors.
Also the check engine light has never come on.

Answer
It could be the injectors or it could be an internal engine problem.

Can you determine which cylinder is misfiring?  If so, try swapping injectors to see if the misfire follows the injector in question.

Do a compression test.  This may uncover an engine problem.

The above presumes the car is actually misfiring.  Since the check engine lamp isn't coming on, I must question whether that's actually occurring.  If you're experienced enough to know what a misfire feels like and you're sure that's what's happening, then we're probably on track.  If not, you may be better served to have a good driveability technician check the car.
