You can reset the lamp by disconnecting the battery for five seconds.  

If you haven't diagnosed and repaired the problem, I don't recommend you reset the lamp.  The problem may be intermittent and the stored trouble code may be all there is to try to determine the nature of the problem.  

In the event you haven't repaired the issue, I'd recommend having the engine and transmission diagnostic trouble codes read and reporting them here.  I can then advise you how to proceed with diagnosis and repair.
