HELLO  I HAVE A 2003 SANTE FE 2WD  IS THERE A DRAIN PLUG ON THE TRANI TO DRAIN THE TRANI FLUID? ALSO THE TRANI FLUID IN THIS VEHICLE IS SORT OF CLEAR NOT RED  . SOMTHING SPECIAL? THANK YOU  

Answer
There is a 24mm drain plug in the bottom of the transmission.  After draining, you'll need to add 5 quarts of fluid.  Use only SP-III fluid (available at Hyundai, Kia, and Mitsubishi dealers).

The fluid from the factory tends to have a low level of dye in it, so it loses its color quickly.  You should expect the new fluid to be the familiar red color.
