Hyundai Repair: 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe wiring, adobe svg viewer, hyundai santa fe

Question
we have had a towing bar installed but they did not wire it.  We are trying to find a wiring diagram so we can put the lights on the trailer.

Answer
Hyundai has very nice schematics at www.hmaservice.com.  It'll probably take some practice for you to navigate around, so I'll help you get to the areas you'll need.

First, you'll need Internet Explorer.  Unfortunately, Hyundai hasn't seen fit to make the site work with anything else.

Second, you'll need to go to the site to register for a free account.

Third, check out the site requirements link.  You'll probably need Adobe SVG Viewer to view the schematics.  You may also need to disable your pop-up blocker if you have one.

Once you've got your password, you can enter the site.  Login and go to Service Information.  Enter the year and model (Santa Fe and 2006) and click on the ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual) tab.  In your case, everything you'll need is under the Body Electrical heading.  Within that group, you'll be interested in the Back Up Lamps, Stop Lamps, Tail Lamps, and Turn/Hazard Lamps.  Since you're dealing with four separate schematics, you may wish to print them out for easy viewing all at once.
