Hyundai Repair: Electrical Problem 2005 Tucson, door latch, accurate diagnosis

Question
Sporadic problem. Remote won't open doors. Key will not open driver's door but will open passenger door. Door locks will not open using inside control. Must crawl over to driver's side to start car. Problem corrects itself after starting vehicle. Dealer could not duplicate the problem in the shop. Eventually they replaced ignition switch. Problem occurred again the next day. This time the key would open the driver's door but the inside control would still not lock or unlock the doors.

Answer
If the key won't unlock one of the doors, you have a mechanical issue.  Either the door latch or actuator for that door is jammed or a lock rod came off.  I'm a little confused that this problem went away.

If the power locks won't unlock with either the remote or switch input, then that's an electrical issue.  It could be any one of a few relays, in the electronic time and alarm control module, or in the wiring.

In either case, it'll be critical for the dealer to be able to duplicate the issue in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  If the problem is still occurring, you should take the car to the dealer to have them reinspect it.  If it's behaving normally again, it won't do any good to take it in now.
