Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Tiburon Alternator Replaced, 2006 hyundai tiburon, slow blow fuse

Question
I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon. I just got a few people to try and put a sound system in the car but a lot of things went wrong. One of the wires wasn't long enough to reach the battery so they connected it to the alternator wire that is connected to the battery. The headlights went off and the brake and ABS lights would not turn off. They then disconnected all the wires and the next day the car broke down. I took it to my Hyundai dealership to get the alternator replaced because they said it went bad. The day after i got the car back the brake and ABS lights wouldn't turn off again and the engine sounded louder then usual as I was driving. Could the problem be something other then the alternator?

Answer
Low voltage can cause the ABS module to illuminate the brake and ABS warning lamps.  It's possible that something in the wiring caused the main fuse to blow, isolating the alternator charging wire from the other vehicle circuits.  Check the main 120A slow blow fuse in the underhood fuse block.
