Hyundai Repair: 2000 Hyundai Elantra Will not START!!!, slow blow fuse, hyundai elantra

Question
While sitting at a red light; the car just died. I tried to start the car but it wouldn't do anything the lights where working fine but when I tried to put the car in "N" to push it out the street it wouldn't come out of park. The wouldn't turn over at all. No sound!!! Nothing. What do you think

Answer
It's likely you have a problem with your alternator, which caused your battery to discharge.

You should charge your battery and then start the car (if it will start) and check the voltage across the battery terminals.  It should be 13.5 to 15.5V.  If it's lower than that, check the main slow blow fuse (about 100A or so).  If it's blown, replace it.  If not, replace the alternator.
