Hyundai Repair: 1999 elantra GL overdrive, fuses, questions #2, fuse box, shift lock

Question
Hi.  Some additional questions.  Sorry.

A.  The rear defroster, the clock (within the multiguages), and the dome light don't work.  Is there a common fuse here?  I was wondering what might be the problem.

B.  There are a couple of things by the base of the auto trans shifter that I don't know about.  There appears to be a pivoting switch with something like "Norm" and another setting.  There is also what appears to be a round recessed button on the other side of the base.  I have no idea what this is for.

Thanks for shedding a little light here.

Answer
No problem, the more the merrier.

A.  Check the B/ALARM fuse in the underhood fuse box.  There's a strong possibility it's causing at least two of the issues.

B.  The NORM/PWR button changes the shift schedule slightly.  In PWR, you'll get better performance and more shifting, especially into lower gears.  In PWR, you'll get less performance and less shifting.  Try driving in both positions and see which one you like better.  If you cannot tell the difference, leave it in NORM.  The other "button" you see is probably the shift lock override.  If you're unable to shift out of park with the key on and your foot on the brake, depress the button inside the hole to release the shifter.
