Car Alarms: Car alarm keeps chirping, mazda protege, battery drain

Question
I have an Audiovox Pursuit Pro 9232 car alarm on my Mazda Protege (01), and it will arm and disarm correctly, but when armed it continues to chirp.  About every minute or so, once armed, it will chirp twice, like it's disarming.  The doors stay locked when it chirps twice, but this will happen for hours and hours.  It started happening when the weather started getting cold, under 10 degrees.  I have looked at the user manual and I don't see anything referencing this.

Thanks,
Dave

Answer
Sounds as if it's reading battery drain.
I would take it into a local car alarm guy
and have it evaluated. Might be a door trigger,
or a connector gone bad, but hard to say from my
vanatage point.

Have someone who does after market systems look
at it.

Hope they can pin point it.
